PAPA HOTEL Dutch Scenery Design is organising the Virtual Flying Club’s Netherlands Group Tour! The tour will have 9 legs, visiting ALL of the general aviation airfields in the Netherlands. We’ll fly one leg each night, with one or more stopover or touch ‘n go’s each leg.

We’ll be flying at:

• Leg 2: Wednesday 26 November 2025 - EHTW-EHBK

• Leg 3: Wednesday 10 December 2025 - EHBK-EHBD-EHEH

• Leg 4: Wednesday 7 January 2026 - EHEH-EHSE-EHMZ

• Leg 5: Wednesday 21 January 2026 - EHMZ-EHRD-EHHV

• Leg 6: Wednesday 28 January 2026 - EHHV-EHAM-EHMM-EHKD

• Leg 7: Wednesday 18 February 2026 - EHKD-EHTX-EAHL

• Leg 8: Wednesday 4 March 2026 - EHAL-EHDR-EHOW-EHGG

• Leg 9: Wednesday 18 March 2026 - EHGG-EHST-EHHO-EHLE

We know how busy life can be, so we’ve schedules a little holiday break for Christmas and New Year so everyone can be back behind the joke or stick in the first week of 2026. And don’t worry, you’ll be back at EHLE Lelystad Airport just in time for FlightSimWeekend 2026!

All legs of the Virtual Flying Club’s Netherlands Group Tour will live streamed on the PAPA HOTEL Dutch Scenery Design YouTube channel, so that if you can’t make it in the air, you won’t have to miss a minute. IVAO-NL will support this event with ATC coverage at the airfields, including Amsterdam Radar/Dutchmil.

In order to meet these demands, we want to offer you, among other things, a fresh voice system, a new forum software, a reworked Webeye and rebuilt web systems, as well as a bunch of live events in 2023 again.

Aankondiging wijziging NL Tours Vanaf 2025 gaan wij het releaseschema van de tours wijzigen van alle tours releasen op 1 januari naar kwartaal releases. Wij hopen hiermee het volgende te bereiken:

• Een aanmoediging voor piloten om terug te komen in onze divisie en daarmee onze controllers aan het werk te houden.

• Het gaat ons beter de ruimte geven om speciale evenementen rondom tours te organiseren.

• Daarnaast moet het ons evenement departement een meer gestroomlijnde processen opleveren in de ontwikkeling van toekomstige tours.

De looptijd van alle tours blijft 1 jaar. Wij hopen dat dit nieuwe format een boost zal geven aan populariteit van onze tours en onze FIR’s. Mocht je nog vragen hebben of feedback hebben laat het ons gerust weten via email: nl-ec@ivao.aero & nl-eac@ivao.aero

Announcement NL Tours changes Starting 2025 we are changing the release schedule of our tours. Previously we released and closed all tours on 1st of January. We are changing this to a quarterly release schedule. We hope to achieve the following goals:

• Encouraging pilots to come back throughout the year and keeping the traffic in the fir up for our controllers

• Giving us the opportunity to create fun and exciting events around the tour releases.

• Internally we hope that the change allows us for a more streamlined process in the creation of new tours.

The runtime of the tours will not change and stay for 1 year. We hope that this new format will boost the popularity of our tours and our FIR’s. If you have any questions or feedback please don’t hesitate to let us know via email: nl-ec@ivao.aero & nl-eac@ivao.aero.

Over the coming weeks we’ll have several exciting announcements coming up. Today we start with the first one.

Back in May of this year we announced the completion of the AS1+ course on our Moodle. We’ve seen a significant increase in controllers at EHAM. Last month the amount of hours logged on EHAM_DEL and EHAM_N_GND were the same, before the release of AS1+ EHAM_DEL was almost never online. Overall the amount of hours controlled in the FIR increased a lot too. Based on that success we’re releasing the AS2+ rating on our Moodle system today.

The AS2+ course focuses on the Ground Position at Schiphol. Covering Pushback, Ground Movement and a little bit of planning duties involved with being a controller on Ground. In order to gain access to the AS2+ course the AS1+ course must first be finished. Our system will then automatically enroll you for the AS2+ course. After completing the course and achieving the AS2 rating on IVAO, you will be derestricted for EHAM_N_GND.

We’ve not received much negative feedback to our AS1+ course or our plans for the future for ATC in EHAA. We’d like to remind you all that our door is always open for feedback or reactions. You can reach out to us via nl-training@ivao.aero
